Brendan Cockerill

Brendan works in the business law area with an emphasis on business structures, business succession, transaction taxes, business entity taxes, wills and estate planning and superannuation. He also supervises the updating and delivery of our standard document packages. Brendan has a Bachelor of Laws degree with first class honours, a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics and a graduate certificate in management.

  

Margot Gill

Margot's area of expertise is in property law and in particular rural conveyancing across New South Wales. Margot works in all other areas of property law including acting for buyer and sellers of residential and commercial properties and small business purchases and sales. Margot is primarily responsible for the firm's conveyancing and probate practice. Margot has a Dipolma in Law.

 

Linda Alexander

Linda is based in our Sydney office and works with with Jim and Brendan in complex commercial matters including issues relating to superannuation, trusts and property. Linda also acts for clients independently on a wide range of commercial and business law matters. Linda shares responsibility for the preparation of standard documents and handles most of the firm's Sydney residential conveyancing. Linda has a Diploma in Law.

 

Amanda Friend

Amanda works with Jim and Brendan in business succession and other commercial matters. Amanda also acts for clients independently in a wide range of commercial and property matters and in the preparation of simple wills. Amanda shares responsibility for the preparation of standard documents. Amanda has a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree.

 

John English

John's work focus has been across both the commercial and property groups, he currently works with Brendan and Amanda on commercial matters . John has a Bachelor of Laws degree, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and a Bachelor of Horticultural Science.

 

Cynthia-Rose Guernier

Cynthia's work focus is within the property group. Cynthia handles local residential conveyancing and some rural conveyancing. Cynthia also acts for the buyers and sellers of commercial properties in regional business areas. Cynthia has a Diploma in Law. Prior to joining JMA Legal, Cynthia worked as the personal assistant to a property partner in a large Sydney firm.  

 

Karen Lewin

Karen's area of expertise is in conveyancing and probate. Karen is part of the property group and focuses on residential and rural sales and purchases. Karen also manages probate. Karen has a Conveyancing Licence from Macquarie University.
