This area of the law involves what happens with a person's property after their death.
We have a wealth of experience not only in attending to the probate application and administration of the estate, but in the business structure and tax issues that often arise when someone dies.
Wherever possible, to minimise expense, a formal grant of probate is not applied for.
Unlike many law firms, we normally charge for this work based on time reasonably spent instead of the fixed fee scale calculated by reference to the value of the estate. We do this because, generally speaking, we think the scale fee is too high. Normally we cap our fees at the scale amount.
